Naples is heading into season with a serious restaurant shake-up—and some of the biggest changes involve names locals have known for decades.

Vergina has transformed into Medi. Pazzo! is back. CAVA is planning another Naples location, and movie theaters are returning to Mercato.

But there's another development worth getting excited about: Naples Grande is preparing to unveil five new dining concepts, including an Italian trattoria, a Mediterranean bar, and a beachfront burger spot.

From Fifth Avenue South to North Naples, here's what's opening, closing, moving, and changing around town.

Naples Grande Unveils Five New Dining Concepts

475 Seagate Drive | Reopening planned January 2027

One of Naples' best-known resorts is preparing for a major comeback—and the restaurant lineup may be just as interesting as the renovation itself.

Naples Grande Beach Resort is undergoing a reported $100 million transformation and will reopen under the Signia by Hilton brand.

The resort has announced five new food and beverage concepts:

  • Spoonbill: An all-day café and marketplace serving pastries, sandwiches, salads, fresh juices, coffee, and evening treats.

  • Solfina Bar and Terrace: A coastal Mediterranean-inspired gathering spot with Neapolitan pizza, crudo, shared plates, and cocktails.

  • Vicolo Social Club and Trattoria: A modern Italian restaurant featuring house-made pasta, steaks, tableside service, and a lively bar.

  • Cocoplum Pool Bar: A casual poolside destination for burgers, salads, frozen cocktails, wine, and champagne.

  • Flipside Beach Bar: A relaxed beachfront eatery featuring smash burgers, fries, sandwiches, and frozen drinks near Clam Pass.

There's a familiar Naples name behind the culinary transformation, too.

Chef Asif Syed, who operated 21 Spices in East Naples for nearly a decade, has returned to oversee the resort's food and beverage program.

The renovation includes all 474 guest accommodations, refreshed gathering spaces, and upgraded resort amenities.

The main resort remains closed during renovations, although Rhode's End Restaurant and select beach amenities remain available.

Why it matters: Five dining concepts arriving together could make Naples Grande a major dining destination for residents as well as resort guests.

Editor's note: The five-restaurant announcement was made November 3 and is included as an early November update.

700 Fifth Avenue South | Debuted October 26

Executive Chef Víctor Villanueva leads the kitchen, with menu offerings that include seafood, Mediterranean shared plates, and other coastal-inspired specialties.

Although the name and concept have changed, much of the familiar management and staff remain.

For longtime Vergina customers, this is one of downtown's biggest restaurant transformations in years.
