A serious criminal case has unfolded in Collier County, where the Collier County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) arrested 34-year-old Jeffrey Odone in connection with a hidden-camera incident involving a child. The man was taken into custody after deputies say they found recordings of a child getting out of the shower and dressing.

The investigation was triggered when a woman discovered an inappropriate video on Odone’s phone and reported it to authorities. The video was hidden in a folder and later stored in his iCloud account, according to CCSO. Law-enforcement found a hidden “GoPro” camera in a bathroom, which was linked via Bluetooth to the suspect’s phone. Deputies executed a search warrant at the Naples residence where they recovered the devices.

Odone is charged with one count of digital voyeurism of a victim younger than 16 — a felony offence under Florida law. The case remains under investigation; it is unclear whether Odone had any prior relationship with the victim or how long the recordings occurred.

From a community-safety standpoint, this case highlights the increasing risks of hidden-camera crimes and the importance of vigilance in sensitive spaces such as bathrooms. On a local business and real-estate level, problems like this may raise questions about rental-property monitoring, guest screening, and security protocols in hospitality or multi-unit settings.
