Rookery Bay's month-long "Fly Through July" birding program enters its second week, shifting focus to songbirds. Families can participate in the weekly birding challenge through eBird, and the Environmental Learning Center's indoor exhibits, marine life tanks, and the 120-foot Continuum of Life watercolor mural are all available throughout the week. A great destination for families with children of any age — plan ahead for Saturday's free admission day.

Once a month, Rookery Bay opens its Environmental Learning Center doors free to all Collier County residents, and July 11 is the day. Bring a valid Collier County ID for free admission to one of the most extraordinary natural education facilities in Southwest Florida.
Inside, you'll find marine life exhibits designed to mimic the Reserve's natural environment, detailed rock formations, local fish and invertebrates in tanks, the Continuum of Life watercolor installation, and rotating art exhibitions including the current Through the Light of the Mangroves show from United Arts Collier. Outside, the boardwalk trail, pollinator garden, and kayak launch give you access to 110,000 acres of pristine mangrove estuary that stretches from Gordon Pass all the way to the western Everglades.
This is one of the best free days in Naples. Don't miss it!
